Lady Evelyn Stewart Murray


Lady Evelyn Stewart Murray was a Scottish folklorist who collected Gaelic folk tales and songs. She was also a skilled needleworker and collector of embroidery and lace. She was the youngest daughter of John Murray, the 7th Duke of Atholl and his wife Louisa.

Lady Evelyn Stewart Murray was born at Blair Castle in Perthshire, Scotland onMarch 1868. Her mother, Louisa , was the Duchess of Atholl and her father John StewartMurray, the 7th Duke of Atholl.
